Race Dog
Maybe this is old news for the most of the GPS nave dogs... ;D
Anyway, for all those who plot their routes (or tracks) on GoogleMaps, here is a very handy application for your PC or Mac.
How it works:
1.First build a route in GoogleMaps and save it as a KML. (This step seems to be not necessary with the new version, one can build a route in RouteConverter.)
2. The old version of RouteConverter needed .gpx-files to work with, so converting .KML to .gpx I used the following on-line application: https://www.gpsvisualizer.com/convert_input?convert_format=gpx
The new version of RouteConverter opens .KML, thus no conversions needed
3. Edit your .gpx-track or -route in RouteConverter, save and load it on a .GPS system. I use my iPhone and the app. MotionX. :thumleft: Perfect!
One can download RouteConverter from here: https://www.routeconverter.com/home/en
