OKâ?¦ planning time for the new year.
I plan to do a bike trip of about a weekâ?¦ Going where-ever. My thinking isâ?¦ start on the Saturday, ride every day, sleep at an unplanned and different venue every night. Wake up to decide where to. For the next day. Then ride till Iâ??ve had enough, or got to a place where I just HAVE to stop. Iâ??ll do some planning to get google maps info of dirt roads, but will not run to a schedule. Get home the next Saturday/Sunday. Sounds like a trip of about 4000kmâ??s. Leave wise, about 26 April to 3 or 4 May makes sense. I want to do as much gravel as possible. Was thinking of starting from Cape Town due north, run to the Richtersveld, maybe Alexanderbay, from there along the Orange river to where-ever. I thought of Namibia, but then again, there is just so much that I have not done in SA!!
Any suggestions and anybody else interested in possibly coming along.
