i must say ..... although i hate sand ..... i would prefer sand in those wet conditions in stead of mud  ....

Dammit wens daar is evidence van die keer se eselbank dat Gerhard kan sien ek het slegs 3 sekondes gepaddle lol. Alhoewel paddle is goeie cardio

Jy't flippen goed gedoen met die tweede Wupperthal trip. So goed dat ek jou skaars gesien het! Noudat ons so op ons agterente sit die hele dag op 'n motorfiets moet ons maar probeer oefening inkry met die sand paddle.

Just remember that the gpx route includes a road we couldn't take: Jakkalsfontein 4x4 (the picture of the closed gate). Cross-check with the Google Maps track to see what is possible.

The mud was just another horror of the day. I think the only thing that caused the sand to steal the limelight from the mud was the shear volume of it. There were mud patches every now and then, but the sand seemed to stretch on forever.

This is the very best ride report I have EVER seen, well done. My reason is simple it had detail I as an Newbie (no shame) can use. I can note the actual route and use it.
I always find it very difficult to find places to ride and maybe over night and not get stuck without petrol.

I will use this, once again, well done. It was detailed and I am sure lots of dogs will use this info to plan our own routes.

Well done ladies! Die sand kan 'n mens goed rattle as jy nie gewoond is daaraan nie, veral met 'n groot fiets soos daai. Maar as mens eers gewoond is daaran dan smile jy as jy sien die sand raak dik in die pad verentoe. En damn die Kaap bly maar mooi! En ja, Biedouw vallei is stunning in die blomme seisoen.
