Gents, I need clarification please...
Im busy replacing the water pump shaft/seal on the 950 Adv. Bought the shaft and seal from RAD, but the bearings from a different supplier (way cheaper) and yes they are A grade bearings :thumleft:
I noticed that the OEM were sealed one side only. And the replacements were sealed both ends. I asked the sales guys at RAD and they advised that I remove the one seal on each bearing.
My question then, is this necessary? Why would the sealed bearings not be suitable?
Please dumb it down for me as I am not very technical.
Recommended: KTM 0625069010 Grooved Ball Bearing 6901V C3
Procured: 6901.2RS A DEEP GROOVE
Thanks
John
