Hi all not sure if this in in the right section? I will be looking for a dual-purpose for myself and the better half in the early parts of next year. We will probably only consider secondhand bikes. We wont be using the bikes as daily commuters but rather for adventures around our SA and neighboring countries, so the bikes will have to be mechanically sound.
just browsing around now I have found the following:
KLR650 - 2006
28000km @ R20000
excellent running order and with paniers and accessories
and then
KLR650 - 2007
21000km @ R39950
Good condition and top box
I am sure the 2006 has been used on the beaten track extensively and the 2007 used mainly for commuting, this is the only reason I can imagine such a price difference.
What are things to look out for with these kind of bikes, especially the ones used on the beaten track?
Any advise about these bikes and the buying of these bikes secondhand would be most appreciated !
