Seems We Have Another Money Pit

So there I was driving along on Saturday and I spot this ol bike for sale. Phone the chap and get all the stats. Then I am on the phone to Mrs CO and she pops around to have a look at it too and says....just buy the bike already.....so I did :twisted:



The reason I wanted it is firstly because Mrs CO has been wanting a bike light enough to learn on, and also a bike that if she does drop it ,it will not
caused major damage or lead to big expenses. Secondly after following DD's thread on the XT restoration I have had this urge to do something similar and I have always been a big fan of the Honda XR's and XL's and I am exited about restoring this baby.

This bike is 100 % complete and is licensed on the road until end of 07. There is quite a bit of cosmetic work required and I need to to something about the brakes right away :shock: The motor is really smooth but smokes a bit so a new piston and rings is on the cards and the clutch is not that hot either. other than that she is great

Does anyone have an electronic copy of the workshop manual for the Honda XL 500 R. Please!!! :shock:
