Hi all. 01/11/2024. It seems that not everyone is aware that Seweweekspoort is closed and totally impassable from the Vleiland side. The road washed away in several places, some places up to 2m deep. It doesn’t matter what bike you ride & what your skill levels are - unless you’re able to pick up your bike and carry it, you just won’t get through! Plan your routes accordingly, if you ignore & try to access Seweweekspoort you will need to back track towards Ladismith from the R323 & you may end up with low fuel if you were planning to fuel up in Calitzdorp.
