Meanwhile Igna’s 790 suffered a bad cut to a tyre and his trip to join us suffers a bit of a setback. He returns to Nelspruit for repairs and we arrange to meet up in Lydenburg around 4pm.

@Just Blip It! gets a pink slip to join us for the rest of the weekend and with his 990 S up and running again he also arranges to meet up with us in Lydenburg.

After a very lekker lunch at the Chubby Pig, we take a fantastic route via forestry roads to Crystal Springs.

I use a 26L Nomad barrel bag from @Lars
I use it for all trips, long or short. @Just Blip It! taught me to pack light

We hit tar at Crystal Springs and have to endure the 40 odd kms of tar to Lydenburg. Mark and Igna were waiting for us at the coffee shop and after a quick cappuccino, we head into the setting sun, next stop Dullstroom for fuel.

Mark and I ride up front and after a day riding at a very sedate pace to accommodate the newbie in our group, Mark and I get on the cable the moment we hit dirt outside Lydenburg.
