I found this interesting spread sheet on ADV rider that can help you calculate what shim is nessary when changing shim at service intervals, here is the link to the down laod...

also some thing to keep in mind is that the shims for the Harley V-Rod can be used. Plus they come in 0.25mm increments (KTM Shims are in 0.50 increments).
