Shire River (Rio Shire) crossing in Mozambique

Has anybody, or do you know of anybody, who has crossed the Shire River in Mozambique at this point:
S17 27.521 E35 20.209. This is between Sena and Murrumbala.

I understand there is no ferry, but maybe there are other means of crossing (canoe or makoro)?
