Short weekend ride, Melkbosstrand - Gansbaai - Melkbosstrand

The teenager was with friends in Gansbaai for part of the holiday and we had to go fetch her.

Franschoek Pass on the way there, the little town absolute madness (something about Bastille day or such)

Caledon wind farm (9 of these wind turbines) in the distance

Riding buddies forever...

It was quite chilly, fortunately we could stop for coffee to warm us up

Of course when we got to Gansbaai I wanted to ride a bit more, the teenager decided to pillion

We decided to enrich our cultural knowledge at a little museum in Franskraal

Artifacts from the wreck of the Birkenhead

Jaws... (apparently the GW shark was about 6m in length - or is that a fishermen's tale...)

The family was here too...

Its big and heavy but I still love it

Theewaterskloof dam full to the brim, a very small wall for such a big dam

On the way back, once more coffee to warm up a bit

And then the last bit to get home again
