Le Cap (who is away in Germany at the moment) has just rebuilt my bikes engine for me and also tidied up some of the wiring for me that burnt a couple of years ago. I have now got a funny with the side stand switch.
1. The bike will not start in neutral while the side stand is down.
2. Once the bike is started (only with the side stand up) and still in neutral I can put the side down and it does not cut out?
3. If I put the bike into gear with the side stand down it cuts out as it should.
4. If the bike is in gear and the side stand is up I can start it with the clutch in.
5. If I disconnect the side stand switch the bike won’t start.
So it’s only really point 1 above that is odd, everything else works as I think it should. I would prefer to keep that side stand switch working and not bridge it out as it has saved me a couple of times.
