Hi Dogs
Just cannot believe what I saw today. I stopped to help a youngster on a Yamaha of some sort who had broken down at the off ramp at Malibongwe. I get of my bike and ask him what's wrong. He says there is something wrong with his bike and the chain just spins when he revs. I look at his back wheel and nearly fell on my back. His sprocket is totally stuffed . By stuffed I mean there are no teeth whatsoever left on it. Not bent or worn a little. More like as smooth as the edge of a coin. Then I look a little further and he has a flat back tyre. I say to him. Dude you know you riding on a flat. He proceeds to say. I have ridden many bikes and I know how to ride. I look a little further around his bike and I notice he has a gear foot lever holding on with wire and connected on the right to be the foot brake.
What the f........ This guy was on the offramp. Which means at some stage he rode that death trap on the road. Turns out he had ridden about 15 km down the highway.
I lent him my phone to call his cousin and then went on my merry way. No wonder people think bikers are reckless. atch:
