So I took the plunge and bought a bike last week from a dealer in Gauteng. I'm in the Western Cape and of course as soon as the deal is signed I am the one that has to constantly contact them for updates on delivery etc etc.
Never mind, I'm used to that. I also got the normal warranty that gets sold you, even though I know in reality it won't cover anything.
After asking about the service history I got told that the dealership had done a service at 23000, the bike is now on 25000. Being the non trusting of dealer's sort I decided to check the air filters....filthy and definitely 2000k's old.
I do all my own maintenance because I then know its been done properly but a warranty won't cover you if you do that, but it will cover you if the bike was (not) serviced by a dealer.
I feel like starting a FB page outing all these dealers because I'm yet to have a good experience at any of them.
