Selling my 2007 XT660R
Reason for selling: I know I will regret as it’s a proven all purpose bike but I’ve tasted the S10 and want to see if I can handle something bigger!
I’m the second owner from 2000km and had experienced no issues whatsoever during the next 30 000km. Currently on 32000km .Oil changed every 3000km and serviced every 5000km at the agents.
Extras:
• Allu bash plate
• Hyperpro Suspension with raising link (made a massive difference with handling)
• Lucas handlebars, 35mm bar risers, cush rubbers from OFF THE ROAD, Germany (imported)
• Excel rims
• Touratech Pannier frames and luggage carier (Pooratech plate used current bolted on using existing fixing points for my “top bag”)
• touring screen – standard included
• braided brake hoses
• Wide offroad footpegs
• Barkbusters hand guards
• Orange headlight cover
Hidenau front and back (140 rear). One off road front and two rears (Metzeler tourance and off road T63 included). Two new spare tubes included. DNA filter (never fitted or used) included.
Spare key and master Red key incl
Bike used mainly for commuting to work (open highways) and a DS trip once every other year. Plastics in fair to good condition but have been used, so decals probably needs replacement if you want to get it perfect again.
Mechanically excellent and recently valves checked at major 30000km service. No issues.
Bike is very well maintained and kepy clean but with some attention to detail (if you want) can be changed to immaculate without spending money – small cosmetics.
Asking price R45000.00 including Touratech panniers. Excluding panniers and racks R42000.00 cash only.
I would prefer to sell as a unit in order to keep the pannier frame (Which is a huge plus for when you use soft luggage) If no takers I will consider selling panniers seperately.
Bike located in East London. Licensed up to date
Bike is super reliable and very economical to run.
I will have it serviced before new owner takes delivery and report available from Yamaha dealership.
