Left the meeting spot dead on 8am, weather was great as it was cooler than the last 6 days and we were were all kitted out in preparation for any breakdown or punture. we had learned a good lesson last time out, be prepared !
tools and tubes stashed we headed out the meet the other group in the walkerville area.
this time out we had three 250s, honda, honda ,yamaha, one dr650, one gs1200 and an Aprillia 650.
from the 2nd meet up we headed off to do the loop around the heineken factory near the blockhouse, the onto a well used mountain bike track, some great single track and a climb of 550m into the knoppies, what a great view.overlooking the bizarre settlement of the 'eye of africa ' a fancy new suburb that features properties worth millions and millions but surrounded by squatters and the litter than accompanies them.
up and down single track and across the veldt back to the klipriver side on the way back to alberton.ride was about about 3 hours and the sun was heating up, we said goodbyes and split up,heading back towards our homes. great to have met yet another new wilddog face ,platte on his yamaha ttr 250 which has a few very special homemade mods like the handmade wrapped exhaust, stainless steel fabricated extra tank . couple of pix.
