STADSAAL Caves - WOW How Cool are they

Hi Di Ho Campers

Was ummmming and ahhhhing as 2 post this or not , but seen as the RR's are few I decided to go ahead.

Not sure when last any of you have been to the STADSAAL Caves in Cederberg , BUT WOW HOW COOL ARE THEY.

Best R 30 Ive spent in a Long Time

Not gonna bore anyone with all the details ,but here are some photos from the Trip

Looks great. I'm off to the cederberg in a couple of weeks. Will go check me out.

Slept in the Stadsaal caves on a Std 5 hike week (in winter).

Been there a couple of times since (including my sister's wedding)

I agree - what a place.

Was in the 80's - don't think they will allow it anymore.

The Cederberg makes for cool photos anyway, but things are just a tad greener than what it usually is.

And its about just on our doorstep...

Was there as a teenager with my parents. These pics bring back memories. Entrance was free in those days.
We camped as a family on a farm near there, if I remember correctly Kromrivier was the farms name.

Its an awesome area and so much to explore.

Permit and the Combination to the Lock is from Gert at Cederberg Oasis......WILD CARDS are accepted.

Great place to visit.  Just watch out for the sosati like spikey poles both sides of the sandtrack - not a place to donner off. :eek7:
