Slowly but surely we getting there, things have changed the last couple of months and should they persist see no reason not to make it next year  ;D

all ten my thumbs up on this report Kev....one can see it's another world out there..

SA is nice.. and sure the Cape has some hills...but thos Mountains you have there..unbelievable..

How is the elevation between where you live, and where the stella is held? Does the lack of 02 not affect the bike??

Grootseun, the Top of the Stella is at around 3000m. Where I live is barely 500. So a vertical climb of around 2500m. The bike handles it well... I never noticed a big power loss due to the altitude. I did have a bit of trouble starting it after loosing it in one of the hairpins... the final one before the top. The bike was upside down... with the wheels higher than the handles. No pics, 2 guys stopped and helped pick it up even before I could get back up!

Your'e lucky where I live according to my GPS we are actually 2m below sea level ;D I wondered why they have those moerse big flood gates on the Thames ???

That is correct:

They have also blocked the road off near the top lake with poles so you cannot ride up any more. Sad.
