Race Dog
Yeah, I know there has been a lot of stuff said on this issue.
Mine has seemingly seized on 40,000 ks. Tried the usual lubrication protocols ... to no avail, yet. Anyway , I want to do away with the handlebar-mounted choke ( I have this urge to minimalize
).
I have three questions:
1. Is there an aftermarket universal choke that will fit - available locally ( the carb-mounted-knob type)?
2. Can I do away with the choke entirely by plugging the hole in the carb? How badly would this affect cold-starting?
3. Or, what’s the best way to modify the existing cable by cutting it short and operating it manually when cold-starting?
Would appreciate your feedback on this issue.
