Wayneh and i went for an early morning ride , "cannon hunting"
We had this one koppie in mind but strayed over a few farms on the way there.
Fourie-kop called us and we arranged for him to join us.
He was out on his bikes virgin ride.(KTM640)
We went on some public roads , some farm roads and some private farm roads ( Die Boere Was By Die Kerk , ek dink)
In a newly harvested wheat field , Fourie-kop
After a couple of roads , Fourie-kop had to get back home and Wayneh and I went on with the task at hand.
A very king farmer (one that wasnt at church!) allowed us up an awsome road to the top of his koppie.
Quite a steep road , loose rocks , washouts and rutted.
The view from the top.
Wayneh (At the tip of his finger , is Pardeberg in the background)
Me ( Farking Hot) and my arms were lam
The road goes over the hill and back up , then down the other side and makes its way back up tp locked gate.
On the way down to the locked gate
The View from there
The Locked Gate
We are going back to finish this ride on a cooler day.
Some more pics
Looking back at the track through the Dongas
On leaving we wanted to thank the farmer , but Wayne left his signature instead.
