As for dropping out at Riebeek Oos, I've been letting myself get seriously unfit lately, since I gave up running. That's why by mid afternoon I was beginning to overshoot corners and drop my wheels into gulleys that I normally wouldn't. I'm taking an early New Years resolution to put that to rights.

Jim, i was a bit worried when it got to 9 o clock and you haven't post a reply that you arrived savely. I am very glad you enjoyed it and the lady who opend the gates was bushed by 7pm.

There is a fairly large dam on a farm in the Bedford / Adelaide area with a hand built rock room where one can sleep in below the dam. Perhaps you know of it and the owner?

Smoke break at Riebeek East and Jaybiker leave via R400 to N10 home.
The dogs are keen over the mountain via Alicedale to the N10.

Toe ons by die N10 land, was ek baie skepties of die span honne nog lus gaan voel vir Kromrivier, daai stuk pad is nie so vêr soos die tyd wat dit gaan neem met die draaie so ook n pak wors wat moet gebraai word.

Chaps julle het my verbaas, ek't gedink nee die manne wil huis toe, dus dan na 15:00. Julle het my verkeerd bewys dat julle nog n laaste gedeelte van die dag tenvolle wil benut. Jammer 4Kays dat julle uitgemis het op Kromrivier, maar ek verstaan en waardeer dat julle tot sovêr saam gery het, tot n volgende keer. :thumleft:

Die eertse paar fotos is van die Kromrivier pad en dit lyk baie groener as op my vorige ride daar deur n maand of wat gelede.

Ek't geweet daar is n paar plekke langs die rivier waar n man altyd sal hout kry om te braai wat af spoel na n reen of takke wat weg gekap word, maar ons was beloon met n grasperk ook soos jul sal sien of reeds gesien het.
