Ok guys, something seriously fucken weird has happened to me over the weekend.
We had to go to Langebaan to go marshal a triathlon on Saturday, so we rode through Friday after work.
I’d say about halfway there, my bike starting shaking like an industrial sized vibrator – think riding on a really badly corrugated road…
At first I thought it was the road surface, but since it was late afternoon, the sun was low and I could see my shadow on the road.
My rear wheel and swing arm was jumping up and down like a fucken jackhammer!
I had to slow down to about 100km/h and coast it in all the way like that.
Luckily my bike mechanic also marshals with us – he checked out everything – nothing is loose, or broken, or worn out, or bent, or lost, or leaking, or have any play on it – nothing is wrong???
I didn’t lose any balancing weights, the tyre did not develop a bubble – chain and sprockets are new – we have no idea wtf could cause this??
As mentioned, low speed is fine – when I go over 100, it gets un-rideable.
What the hell could it be??
