Suurberg Pass, how bad is the road?

I last did the Suurberg Pass about a year ago, on my bike, and the road wasn't to bad,
But I know that they have had a lot of rain in that part of the world lately.
This Christmas I want to do it again, but this time with my wife in a VW Caddy Life, can anyone advise me on the the condition of the road and do you think I would get through with a Caddy.
