Swazi Hardcore Adventure with Khwela Adventures.

[Just Blip It!]

What a ride! Khwela Adventures Swazi Hardcore Adventure Ride took place this past weekend and it lived up to its name, "Hardrcore" it was! 12 riders set off for Swaziland early Friday morning for the ride. The night before there had been  a really good down pour adding to the already technical paths and cattle tracks difficulty. There was plenty of water in the form of puddles and river crossings. The temperature together with a high humidity added to the discomfort and dehidration was an ever present threat as we battled steep climbs and sweaty dongas that Swazi is so famous for!
A great bunch of guys to ride with, helping each other through some of the heavy stuff and supporting where necessary. 12 bikes started with only one bike not finishing due to a collapsed rear wheel bearing. The rest of the bikes survived drowned engines, punctures, the occasional fall and tough hard operating conditions! 10 KTM's, 1 BMW and 1 Suzuki, 11guys and 1 girl, made up the Swazi team. I will let the photos tell the story.

Just Blip It and Treffon Smith put together 3 days of true African hard core adventure riding in Swaziland.

The high heat and humidity took its toll, but the awesome terrain and scenery made it bearable.

The best ride I have done! :biggrin:

Don't join if you don't have reasonable off road skills and experience.

Yep .. best ride ever. It was tough let me tell you that! I just can't imagine why we always go back for more!! Maybe that's we ride Adventure bikes - its built for Adventure! Thanks Blippy for sharing the pics! :thumleft:
