We enjoy a very late lunch at a shop in Piggs Peak. Chicken stew with rice and Atjar. A soft drink to wash it down and even a sweet vetkoek for desert. All this for less than R40 pp.

From there we start heading to Maguga dam where we will spend the night at Maguga Lodge. It had been a hard day’s riding in the extreme heat. Mark had some more tricks up his sleeve though.
