Recently went through an exercise to "upgrade" the exhaust on my Tenere...I am finding more an more these days that pedestrians are just not lekker wakker in the morning so decided I needed a lil more noise to make ppl aware of where I am...also had my tenere for 4 years now and while there is nothing on the market that can tempt me from the greatest motorcycle on earth its time to customise it a bit. Got a bunch of quotes, searched here at WD and finally contacts a couple of mense.....REynard from Scorch (Bezerker now ) down in Stikland was the most forthcoming with info. Pricing was pretty good too and on a subsequent business trip I popped into his business out Stikland way. Nice guy , my timing was tight and he took my word that I would pay him an he built me a pipe without the money having cleared in his account, great ou to do business with.
Pipe fitted like a glove and them lil exhaust covers on the standard tenere cover a multitude of sins , the original pipe is forking ugly once the covers are off....pipe is awesome , very loud but now pedestrians know and are more careful cars move out of the way... I feel the bike is more responsive but not got fuelling set up yet , will do that next. Prolly saves around 5 kg's of weight maybe slightly more ....
