It's not something people seriously think about, but I reckon they should.
After reading a story of a bunch of arctic explorers, I learnt that yellow tents are highly visible but a bitch to sleep in! Apparently the adventurers were agitated from "...sleeping inside a light bulb" and the yellow glow did nothing to improve their moods.
What colour do you think is best for a tent?
Orange? Because it matches your KTM?
Dark blues or greens because they allow you to sleep late and keep the interior cooler?
Bright colours so you can be rescued from the air?
Khakis or browns so you can blend into the bush?
Pink so you can draw gentlemen callers?

Here's my tent. It's a North Face Talus 33. It's not plant green but it does blend in somewhat with the surroundings and is sufficiently dark on those hangover mornings
