Been riding this weekend.  Started Saturday Morning 06h30 in Centurion, met the other riders and had breakfast in Bela Bela at 08h15 (Maxi's).
Left about 09h00 for Thabazimbi on the road less traveled; gravel all the way. Take the turnoff to Alma in Bela Bela, ride past the Boat Club and there she is - gravel....
The next 120km (odd) was filled with everything a gravel road could throw at you, nasty sand spots, horrendous "sinkplaat", sneaky gravel; the last 30km's were really bad.
Got a flat (front) just as we turned into Thabazimbi, but with the assistance of Supa Quick, we got that sorted easily.
Had a Wimpy Burger for lunch and decided to dash home via Brits on the tar road.
Mistake, there are killer potholes between Thaba and Brits - at a stage I rode comfortably on the gravel next to the road.
Leg stretch at Brits and then home at 15h30.
Round trip 485km's. Consumption 28 km/l.
As usual, the GS's (GS 650, 650 Dakar and GS 800) performed flawlessly. My bike (Dakar) turned 45000 halfway through the trip.
In bed by 9pm, "moeg".

Have fun.
