After following Kneeslider's thread with Jennifer, I was motivated to fetch my VF from my Swaerie's house and getting it back to pristine condition.
Now, I got this bike on the 7th of April 1984. I seized it 1989 because of low oil level at around 200 km/h. :angry4: Was still a stupid lightie who thought that these things just run on fuel.
My toppie rebuilt the engine in 1993 and I rode it occasionally for the next 10 years, including a 10 day trip form Gauteng to Cape Town and back.
THEN, in 2000 I bought an Affrica Twin and this poor thing was parked.... Up till yesterday.
Not looking bad considering it has been under cover for 12 years.
It will be totaly stripped down, repainted, bearings and alles serviced or replaced in an attempt to get it to its original glory.
Pics to follow.
Wish me luck. :3some:
