Right then, spoke to some guys from Lyndhurst on Sat and what they say makes good sense, although the servicing schedule is set by BMW and dictates the number of labour units to be used per service, what it does not take into account is that labour rates are different around the Country, hence the differences, interesting to note that a service on a Dakar is more expensive than a 1200, I think the unit figures quoted were 38 for Dakar and 8 for GS, ran out of time to ask exactly why.
