Some time ago an article in a magazine made the statement that a large part of your mind is occupied if you are uncomfortable, i.e. the wind bashing your helmet around, your butt going lame, having to compensate for poorly distributed luggage.

According to the article this had a direct bearing on rider safety, say 50% of your subcontious mind occupied by survival instead of 20%.

Do any of you psycho-types know where info on studies on this subject can be found? (Doesn't have to be biker-related)

I have Googled but maybe I'm not comfortable enough to find what I'm looking for:dontknow:
