First photo of the young man who lost his life
Second is the face of a (allegedly drunk) killer.
RIP Young Man. Sad that your life had to be snuffed out so soon by this worthless excuse for humanity.
If only...
the drunk driver should he swung from the nearest tree
Article:
AN EAST London man charged with drunk driving following a collision between a vehicle and a motorbike on Saturday night appeared in the East London Magistrate’s Court yesterday.
The accident, which occurred just before midnight along the Gonubie Main Road, claimed the life of 28-year-old Sunrise-On-Sea motorcyclist Antonov D’Oliveira who died on the scene.
Police said Xolani David Sikepe was the allegedly drunk driver of the Toyota Tazz that collided with D’Oliveira’s motorbike. The 43-year-old was arrested on the spot after police suspected he had been driving under the influence of alcohol.
Sikepe was released from police custody on Monday and was warned to appear in court yesterday.
He appeared briefly before magistrate Merwin Meyer who postponed the matter for further investigation.
Meyer said Sikepe, who is being represented by a Legal Aid attorney, will have to appear in court again on January 21 next year.
Sikepe left the court immediately after the matter was heard.
Antonov’s younger brother and family spokesman, Michael-Jason D’Oliveira, said he was disappointed with the outcome.
“I think the justice system is too soft on drunk drivers. That is why drunk driving statistics are so high,” he said yesterday. – [email protected]
