Maiden offroad journey on the DR ... along past lanseria , left into kromdraai...stopped at the lion and rhino park to view lions and cubs along the road, up through hekpoort up breedts nek down through to Wickers for a lekker breakfast and then dirt roads up to beyersnaude and home. The DR offroad with its long soft suspension is an absolute blase,,,keep the heavy bikes i is happy as a pig in pooo...only problem i had is wheel spin....

More pics of the day...damn it was cold on Breedts yesterday...coldest it has ever been for me i reckon. WEnt all the way to the top the DR like a rock hare in its nimbleness to the top ..

A nice day out , approximately 200km's travelled a goodly portion of which was offroad...its like chalk an cheese the offroadability of the dl vs the dr... a whole new wolrd opens on the dr for me. unfortunately it is still being riddein in so kept it at half throttel in 4th off road and half throttle in 5th on tar but it seems to be perky enough and i had lots of fun with the wheel spin in the dirt.

Nice. What is the price for the 08? Recently saw that the KLR price has risen to 55k and I am curious to know what the DR costs.

Retail on the DR is 51 k however arms can be bent to get it closer to 48k ...or take a package of helmet etc incl in the 51k...

Kwak dont negotiate on the klr , u pay full retail or you get no bike...  seems the klr is selling all orders arriving in za.
