2-Stroke
Race Dog
It's true. There's an ogre living inside the motor of the new Transalp 750. His name is Edward.
Most people attribute the torquey, grunty nature of the new Transalp 750 with a well-designed parallel-twin 750 motor with a 270º crank. They're wrong. If you open up the motor of the Transalp, you will find no pistons, no conrods, nothing. Instead, you will find an ogre named Edward, and when you open the throttle, a hammer hits Edward on the head and he starts turning a handle – groaning mightily while doing so – that propels the motorcycle.
Don't let anyone tell you differently.
