ok, so on the way to Glen's memorial, Edgy suggested I join them to try the Roof this year. Edgy is an experienced Roof rider, and won his class one year.
I've been thinking of it ever since, and have decided to perhaps give it a go.
I am not fit enough, and don't have enough experience in rock-climibing, BUT can that be fixed in 9 months?
I have the bike and perhaps the determination, but I have a habit of giving up when things get tough. That obviously has to change.
Metal Jockey told me to forget it, and that I have no chance. Should I ignore him and start to prepare, or listen to him.
It obviously costs a lot of time and money to train, and perhaps a trashed R90k bike or two.
I'll do all the enduros I can find in the build up.
(Bluebull inspires me - Dos Sertoes, Dubai desert thing, and Dakar dreams - from a complete newbie to a racer)
