Hello,
I'm planning a trip from Cape Town to Namibia and then back to Cape Town. I would like to drive as much offroad as possible.
As it is now, I start in
Cape Town,
drive up to Calvinia and Springbok,
then into Namibia, Ai-Ais, Fish-river Canyon (allowed with motorbikes?),
Seeheim, Aus,
Luderitz, back to Aus,
up to Sossuvlei,
Walvisbay,
Henriesbay,
Brandberg (is driving around allowed with motorbikes?),
Opuwo,
Epupa Falls,
Etosha NP,
and than back through the east part of Namibia. That means: Gobabis, Karasburg,
bordercrossing,
Springbok,
Garies,
Kliprand,
Loeriesfontein,
Nieuwoudtville,
Wuppertal, Lankloof Village,
Ceres and than back to Cape Town...
Now I have some questions: I'm from the Netherlands, so I don't know South Africa and Namibia very well. Can you recommend some special/good/beautiful places/roads/views/things? (also near Cape Town) Just little things like a nice roads with good views and that stuff, things which you know because you live there/have been there, but things which tourists don't know.
If you have other suggestions, better/nicer/scenic routes or just a place with a good view, a nice forest, nice restaurant or strange animals, I would really appreciate
Thank you!
