The accepted norm is to fit full aluminum wrap around hand protectors to a bike to prevent levers from breaking in the event of a spill.
Wonder if that is still true for dirt bikes and plastics? Looking at the latest hard enduro videos almost none of the riders ride with wrap around metal hand protectors. They all ride with the open hand protectors. Do they know something we don't? Or are light bikes just less prone to broken levers; or do they just go slower?
