To go with this ride report; there is a video of one of the roads

Awesome. I found some really pics off my Virb but I need to either figure out how to create a decent gif for certain sequences or how to pull the pics into a video. I dont think posting them individually will give the same effect.

I'm pretty sure you can do that with windows movie maker

You're right actually, I started doing that but for some reason it added the photo name as overlay text and I could only figure out how to delete the text one pic at a time... was a schlep and let it but will play around withit some more when I get a gap. Want to see if I can make a cool little gif with a few pics, just to mess around but also there are those certain spots you wanna show and not include the other flat stuff so think it will be a cool way to do it.

This is too weird...
I was in the are on the same weekend, I was on my NC with rest of family in the Jeep (I stuck to the tar)

I saw you guys in Dullstroom and Sabie that weekend (Friday and the Sunday)

Didn't realize we photo bombed you in Dullstroom...
In the first Dullstroom pic we are all in the background and in the second one my Alpinestars jacket is visible
:ricky:

Hahaha RyC, I actually remember seeing you, I noticed you had an Astars jacket on and see you in the pic. Who would have thunk it, your picture randomly (albeit it cutoff) lands up on the forum a week later  :thumleft:

Thanks Woody1!

Must say that Triumph is a looker, I stared at it long and hard both the Friday and the Sunday I saw you guys.
Glad you guys had a good time  :thumleft:

Hey thanks man, my first time on an adv/DS type bike and all I keep thinking is "what took me so blimmin long?!?!?" I (personally) dont understand why people would ride anything else hahaha

Thanks for the comments guys!

I took some random pics from my VIRB and created 2 short videos... I was experimenting with how to created them which is why there are two and not one with the second having sound while the first doesn't. They don't really do the roads justice but you can see some fun bits of dirt and that the roads were not just flat and boring ;D

nice nice nice.
I've on more than once misjudged those plantation roads.
The trucks tread the sandy roads to a fine powder.

+100

As Friggs said, there were a couple of those powder patches and the last one made me invest in a piece of real estate

Fortunately only a bruised ligament in my knee, bust pannier and a "clubman" handle on the left however got the "hang" of it soon and managed to do the rest of the trip without further problems, albeit a bit lob sided.

Knee is healing (went for some physio yesterday again), pannier patched (with some aluminium and pop rivets giving it character) and handles were straighten that same evening when I got home.

With Friggs permission I'll try and load a video he took giving an idea of the powder-dust

That Tiger looks like the one that stood at Kawasaki Centurion, right?
I took it for a test ride some time ago, the Twin Brothers pipe is LOUD - sounds like someone shooting at you  :ricky:
