Thanks for the share! Sani pass is high up on my bucket list and after your RR I hope to still squeeze it in before the end of the year. Fantastic photography, shots you took are amazing!

Thanks man. Try get there before the rain really sets in. I think that road can be a real mare in the rainy season.

Hey Strompie. You arrived at Fouriesburg Country Inn as we were leaving. Well done on that Strom.

Yours at the end of the line ?

Yep, that is my Orange Donkey with all those KLR's. We did Himeville to Fouriesburg via Thaba Tseka and Katse. Awesome ride especially the dirt loop around the Western side of Katse.  :ricky:

Hats off to you! To do that trip solo, especially the ride through Lesotho, deserves some respect. Fantastic pictures. Well done!

Awesome photos! I went up the pass on Sunday in glorious weather but in my car. I saw three guys on identicle white 2013 800GS's which made me all the more jealous that I wasn't riding mine. I definately plan to do this on my bike soon.

At the top there also 4 bikers on two 1190s and I think two GSs. Had a chat to them and it sounded like they had an interesting "ascent"

Wow Strompie great RR, now I am really pumped after those great pics, planning a trip with a few friends in the next two weeks, before the Rain, can't wait

OK, I am the guy who bought the 200 to start.  Brian (Strompie) and I comes a long way and he helped me as a second photographer doing shoots.  Now he must help me to become part of this community as well.  I AM A REAL NOVICE!!!

It was great weather in Lesotho this weekend, did Katsi on tar as well as up and down Sani.  2000km in 4 days.
Did an overnight at the Sani chalets, expensive but warm water, a fire and hot meals go's a long way when solo.
Some great pictures. I am sure a lot of us crossed paths this weekend in the region.

Speaking of crossing paths, there were hundreds of friendly bikes in Lesotho and the only chop who didn't greet all weekend was on a BMW 800 GS. He was riding with a HP2 and another on a 690. Even the Harley boys near Katse had time for a wave.
I am a Defender man and I always wave or acknowledge a greeting.

Awesome report and great pictures - thanks for sharing!

Looks lie you all had perfect riding conditions, especially weather wise!! :thumleft:

Yes, I must admit, I caught the right bit of weather this weekend. My original plan was to go at the end of October, but I am glad that I did it now.

Thanks again for all the kind comments on the photos.

In Himeville, taken with a little Canon Powershot S100, and tweaked a bit 8)
