Some couple of years ago, I bought a home build trailer. Being many moons before my biker days is was mainly used for taking rubbish to the dump and helping friends to move.
The one day I wanted to hitch it to the car, and I literally grabbed a hand full of rust. The entire frame was rusted to bits. So the trailer got shoved in the back corner behind the shed, to disintegrate in peace.
Then we got the bikes, and the BMW started giving hassles, so we borrowed trailers from every trailer owner in Pta. Then I remembered my graveyard.
Took her out, and looked at certain pieces, and launched the project the next day with a visit to the steel merchant.
Old pieces used in the rebuild – Axle, jockey wheel and Tow hitch, cleaned and painted.
As it stands now after a bit of welding skills (Donated by father in law)

Next I need to finish the welding, 2 pieces on the side to get the with right, and then I can paint.
Aluminium plate needed for the top, then the wheels and wheel arches.
Rims (courtesy of Gypsy Baron) to be cleaned up soon, and dressed with new tyres. Pics in next post.
