I had this ride planned and thought we'd have maybe 5 riders, then a friend volunteered to prepare two dinners and two breakfasts for a $30 donation to a charity, LostForAReason.org, and we ended up with 23 riders! We ended up raising nearly $1,000 that will go to build a playground for some kids on the Navajo reservation.
It was gourmet food, really nice trails, perfect weather and nice people.
This is an area called Troy, Kennedy and Monache meadows, part of the Sequoia National Forest. The Sequoia is the largest tree in the world (not highest or fattest though) and those groves of special trees were not where we rode this time.
