I've seen this done, but have not yet fathomed out the (theoretical or practical) intricacies...
If I'm going up a dirt hill (or dune), what is the preferred way of them making a u-turn before reaching the top to go back down? Obviously a mellow slope is easier than a steep one - it's the steep one I'm wondering about.
