Animal: Yamaha YZ250 (Beast)
Model: 2006
Temperament: Very responsive to both throttle and kick starter. One kick to the kick starter and I’ll purr like a kitten. For the first part of the throttle twist I’m very torquey, twist it a bit further and I’ll react very aggressively, trying to kill my rider. But if the rider knows how to handle my aggressiveness, I’m a very enjoyable ride. Very friendly to most other bikes like Yamaha and BMW GS’s, but I intimidate KTM’s (the last time I got taken out for a ride, a KTM tpi got so scared that he pissed on his sparkplug and the other one choked up and refused to start)
Reason for adoption: My owner bought me thinking he would enjoy me as much as he enjoyed his previous dirt bike 12 years ago, but he prefers his adventure bike over me.
Medical history: Motor rebuilt and clutch replaced recently (unsure of hours – confirmed by previous owner). The following has been replaced less than two hours of riding ago:
- Fork seals and oil
- Gearbox oil
- Wheel bearings and dust seals (front and rear)
- Tusk rear disc
Features: I’m fitted with the following extras:
- Heavy duty tubes front and rear
- Fork bleeders
- Hyde sump and exhaust header guard
- Foldable levers (clutch and brake)
- Zeta handguards
Included in adoption fee: The remainder of my favorite Motul products (2 stroke oil (for premix), gearbox oil and foam filter oil spray
Adoption fee:
R24 000 @ R26 000 my owner is willing to include his riding gear as well, which includes the following:
- Fox Mx Jersey (L)
- Fox Mx Pants (36)
- Fox Tracer Helmet (XL)
- Fox Goggles (New)
- Fox Dirtpaw gloves (XXL)
- Utopia Goggles x2 (Lenses are scratched a bit)
- Thor Chest Protector (L)
- Fly Knee guards (L-XL)
