Hey ladies, I am offering my beloved REUSCH motorcycle jacket and pants here. NOT stopping riding (NEVA!), but hubby and me are planning to do a serious trip through Africa (back home to Germany), and though my gear is not that old and has served me very well, I am looking to "upgrade" to some offroad gear (probably Revvit Sand).

REUSCH being a German brand, the stuff is of course designed with German conditions in mind - meaning lots of wind, rain, and generally not that much sun. While that sounds like the gear would not be perfect for South African conditions, I used it for the last year and can't complain - if we would just stay here I would not change it. I've done several off-road trips in this gear, both as rider and pillion. Driven to Botswana in December, Swaziland in March, done two offroad courses, and several daytrips / trips in and around the city. The black colour of course makes it too hot when you stand in the sun, but REUSCH put some good thought into making this an allround jacket. There is a big vent at the back of the jacket, and two on the upper legs of the pants, which all help a lot. There are also two zippers on the jacket, and in summer I normally only close the inner one, which means some air gets through (as only the outer one is sealed to make it wind- and rainproof).

The main reason why I bought the gear (in early 2011) is that it offers all the security padding you need (knees, elbows, back, shoulders), but is at the same time quite light and not bulky at all. You can adjust the jacket and the pants to make them fit more tightly, and give you back a bot of ladylike shape.  ;) REUSCH has a good reputation in Germany for making abrasive-resistant, waterproof gear (they are mainly an outdoor sports gear brand), which was also an asset for me.

The jacket is a ladies size L, and the pants is a ladies size aM. Because I have quite broad shoulders, and like to move a bit, the M was out of the question. As I am relatively tall (178m), which comes with longs legs also, pants are a tiny bit too short for me. Which did not fuzz me much, but they would probably fit someone a bit smaller better.

For some more information on the gear, you can also look at these pages:

I am a leisure rider, so that gear was only used for holidays and on weekends. But it WAS used, so there is some wear on both pants and jacket, but nothing that affects the functionality.

The set cost me 600+ Euro in 2011, of course lot less worth now. Don't know what you can ask for that gear here  ???, just make me an offer if you are interested! I will try in parallel to sell the stuff in Germany, but of course would prefer to sell it here (much easier). So, trying my luck, whatever happens first  ;D
