Vertically challanged

Serious question, I am not too tall, 1.67m and love riding my XT660R, BUT I seem to do more fast gravel/tar than â??serious off roadâ? and mostly 2up. Now let me repeat I am enjoying my bike, but longer trips become a bit much for my wife. Now I am thinking of getting a 2nd bike â??road bikeâ? (remember I am not tall) for 2up riding, and keep my bike for dirt solo trips. The best solution would be to get a bike I can do both with. The bikes that can do this are BMW GS1200& KTM990. Remerging my height and pillion, what are the pros and cons in this scenario of these bikes, and should I be looking at other bikes (Honda & Suzuki) as well.
