So, after fault finding for ages I've eventually pinned down the culprit that's been preventing my bike from charging the battery. My charging stator coil has shorted. Now the ignition coil is still good, so I can charge my battery with a battery charger and the starter works initially, but by the middle of a ride the fan has sapped all the power and I have to resort to kicking. This sucks. I can get a new stator from RAD for R2300....... in April or I can have it rewired..... it takes 2 to 3 weeks! Anyone have a stator for a 2012 KTM 300 lying around, or anyone know someone that can rewire within this week? I've got the EWXC, then Wildside and Madalas coming up, 3 weekends in a row and I sure as shit don't feel like kicking. HELP!!!!
