Water bottles instead of rear foot pegs

k, I've removed my rear pegs as part of rally prepping the bike but have been told we'll need to carry extra water

I don't wanna add extra weight to the carrier as that's where my tubes, etc, go

So I'm looking for an easy, bright idea to carry a litre water either side, using the foot peg mounts .......................

Alternatively, I can carry the water on the back and use the mounts to set up some sort of tool/tubes carrier ........................
