I have come to the conclusion that weekends are just to short to share with the wife, parents, in-laws, doing crap around the house, etc, etc. :-\
This means that one has way to little time to ride.
So...
Anybody up for a overnighter somewhere east of the R355? That'll be Thursday night. (Dingaan's 1000km service is Thursday morn'n)
I reckon if one left Cape Town at 15:00, go via Bainskloof, Ceres, Op-die-berg, Katbakkies pass, R355, then East on the first available road, one could get to a nice place to overnight before dark. The next morning, one rises at 04:00, drink coffee, and leave at first light. Which gets one back to Cape Town by around 08:00.
