Let me post my question like this. My F650(dakar) Pings at about 4000 RPM under load - IE when I open the throttle on an uphill in 4th.
Now the Rotax does not have a knock sensor and so can not advance it's timing to counter the ping.
AFAIK LRP is 95 octane , whereas Unleaded is something like 92.
Will switching to LRP make a difference because of the higher octane ? And will the LRP clog the Catalityc convertor ? I am not worried about killing it - I just do not want to suffer any major headaches later on .
Does anybody have any better ideas to stop my scoot from pinging ?
