I'm thinking about selling my '01 Dakar and looking at some prices online, they vary so much, so I figured i'd ask the dogs... whats it worth?

I bought it about a year ago from a chap who dropped it. Luckily the damage was only cosmetic.
I spent a few months working on it fixing it up, and started to use it, mostly for my commute to work and as a Sunday coffee getter with mates.

I stripped it down to the bare frame.
Painted the frame and swing arm.
Powder coated the rear subframe, front lower sidestand frame, main and passenger footpegs.
Painted the motor (Did not open the motor)
Painted the fork clamps.
Radiator painted and blades straightened to ensure good airflow.
Fork lowers painted
Painted the bodywork in BMW Brilliant pearl white and BMW Toledo blue. (the graphics are painted in, not stickers)
New wheel bearings front and rear.
New steering neck bearings and genuine BMW dust covers
New swingarm, link and suspension roller bearings and seals.
Wiring harness re-sealed in cloth tape.
New brake pads, replaced rear caliper, recon rear master cylinder
Replaced flasher unit and all 4 indicators.
Replaced left side switchgear with aftermarket unit (originals are hard to find, but I'm still wanting to find one and fit it)
New tyres and tubes.
New forkseals and oil.
Serviced with fresh oil, oil filter, spark plug, air filter, brake fluid, coolant.
Replaced headlight globe plug with a ceramic unit.

Its almost on 98000km
Sometimes the starting is a bit laborious, I think the bar switch needs a clean and being an old harness it could probably do with a better ground cable.
There is a 'clang' sometimes when starting, which I suspect is the sprag clutch.
There are one on two small smileys on the front rim, but nothing I've noticed during riding.
The screen had some scratches on it that I simply polished out as much as I could.
The heated grips did not work and were removed, we don't need such luxuries in Durban.
5cm tear on the seat, against the 'tank'

The bike is is licensed and registered on my name.

I'm not dead set on selling immediately, but I've seen some other bikes that have caught my eye, and when the right one comes around I'd like to know how much I could realistically get for this beast should I decide on another steed... until then this is will be my ride for an upcoming Durban to Clarens weekend trip

So what do the dogs think its worth?
